This position is located within the 149th Comptroller Flight Wing, San Antonio, TX. Its purpose is to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for the installation and dissimilar geographically separated units, with responsibility for managing all funds through fiscal reporting and financial advisory services. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax.

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting the following: Specialized Experience: At least 1 year experience to the next lower grade level (GS-12) with skills in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. AND The ability to plan, direct, and coordinate difficult and complex programs. And The ability to develop, apply, and adjust financial plans and policies to attain agency objectives. AND The ability to select, develop, and supervise a subordinate staff. AND The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, not only with subordinate staff, but with all levels of key management officials, the latter particularly requiring the exercise of tact, ingenuity, and resourcefulness. AND The ability to apply a high level of sound and independent judgment in the solution of financial problems and in the administration of a financial management program. AND A broad knowledge of agency operating programs. AND A broad knowledge of and ability to utilize principles, methods, techniques, and systems of financial management. AND Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material. AND Skill in training, mentoring, and problem solving. AND The ability to make oral and written presentations in a clear and concise manner. AND The ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective communication. AND The ability to write English in reports and presentation formats. AND The ability to communicate clearly and effectively. AND a fundamental working experiences with a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the financial management occupational series and grade. AND Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experiences gained through military technical training schools or civilian academic courses, or related civilian work are included in the one-year on-the-job specialized experience.
