You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the SUBMARINE LEARNING CENTER of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will serve as Action Officer for N7 Headquarter Curriculum Development and Training Path Manager (N72B) on assigned programs, initiatives, and products. You will coordinate internal reviews of documents (i.e., Navy Training System Plans, Training Project Plans, Course Pilot Reviews). You will manage training paths for submarine ratings. You will train in instructional techniques, curriculum development, and subject matter training. You will coordinate submission of Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) packages. You will write the Front End Analysis (FEA), Training Project Plan (TPP), and Course Master Schedule (CMS) for course development and revision efforts for which SLC Headquarters is CCMM. You will develop and revise Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA). You will manage contracted efforts by monitoring contractor performance in terms of financial status, hours expended, and progress reported.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and oral communication skill; 2) Establishing submarine training methods, policy, organizations, and methodologies to be utilized in training development; 3) Utilizing training methods, techniques and tools to design, develop, present, and evaluate training courses and materials to include using instructional technology (e.g., interactive courseware, video-tele-training, computer based training) and) 4) Distributing difficult and complex work assignments.
