Duties
You will perform a range of duties relating to the preparation of required acquisition documents, analysis, formulation, presentation, and execution of contracts.
You will analyze internal and external data to identify and explain any deviations from the pre-established obligations and expenditures.
You will provide support to the senior Acquisition Program Specialist on all aspects of contractual realms.
You will use the Government Commercial Purchase Card to acquire authorized supplies or services.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-07:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Performing a range of duties relating to the preparation of required acquisition documents, analysis, formulation, presentation, and execution of contracts; 2) Analyzes internal/external date to identify and explain deviations from pre-established obligations and expenditures; 3) Applying knowledge in analytical, financial, procurement and contractual information and techniques; 4) Assisting senior level acquisition/contract specialists.
FOR GS-09:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Monitoring all phases of assigned contracts from inception to completion; 2) Working procurement actions to procure materials, equipment, and services; 3) Monitoring new/amended contracts to ensure understanding of contract terms and compliance by personnel; 4) Analyzing contracting proposals and making recommendations for substantial changes in areas of financial scope, obligation plans and forecasts; 5) Maintaining tracking system and monitoring/tracking obligations and expenditures throughout the execution phase of each contract.

Education
The following education may be substituted for specialized experience:
FOR GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
or bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
FOR GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or LL.B. or J.D., if related
Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university in the amounts shown in the table meets the requirements for positions at GS-7 through GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
