Duties
You will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager, responsible for managing staff, utilizing standard program management processes, and tools and using strategies to streamline and coordinate program activities. This position starts at a salary of $139,395.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $181,216.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
CBP Office of Trade is the architect of the most robust customs system in the world and the second largest revenue source for the U.S. Government. Major duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Managing and directing all operations and facilities related to a specific or several program areas within OT.
Supporting directorate leadership by planning, evaluating, integrating and coordinating initiatives within OT.
Managing staff, utilizing standard program management processes and tools, developing technology-use strategies to streamline and coordinate program activities,
Maintaining a thorough knowledge of federal government, DHS and CBP rules and regulations that are applicable to their assigned OT program area.
Establishing program objectives and developing administrative and managerial plan to meet objectives.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Overseeing the planning, directing and timely execution of programs that include but are not limited to budget, procurement, travel and contracts.
Providing executive leadership for and overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of a program segment.
Leading complex projects, often cutting across organizational/activity lines.
Providing administrative direction in project management, team building, facilitation, process improvement analysis, and the methodology required to developing and substantiate a business case for the selected project.
Providing administrative advice on strategic issues; collaborating with other Program Offices and Organizations to improve end-to-end processes throughout the Program Office/component, or equivalent organization.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 09/30/2024.

Residency: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Individuals are required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates (as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years. Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military

Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment. Current and former federal employees may be required to serve or complete a probationary period.
