About the Position: As Chief, Business Resource Division of Regional Business Directorate, Pacific Ocean Division, works under the broad administrative supervision of the Division Engineer who provides overall guidance through discussions on matters of policy, relationship and coordination necessary between this staff advisory element and other technical and administrative elements of the Division and field offices.

Duties

Establish financial management objectives in order to achieve mission requirements. Develop procedures and processes for streamlining financial analysis and identifying best practices. Evaluate financial processes to identify potential resource management problem areas/trends. Provide interpretation of regulation, administrative rules, organizational policies, and system changes. Identify resource requirements in order to influence resource distribution and manpower spaces. Provide operational direction through subordinate supervisors to manage organizational operations. Review organizational structure to ensure optimal staffing levels. Advise senior leadership on key aspects of financial management operations and controls. Provide technical advice on financial management operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Financial Management (FM) Level 3 Certification and comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program as a condition of employment.
