This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Tohono O'odham Agency in Sells, Arizona. The incumbent will provide necessary information with regard to the acquisition, transfer, and disposal of real and personal property. Experience using automation and computers for supply management is highly desired.
Duties
Process procurement requisitions for small purchases
Provide technical assistance to customers in procuring supplies and goods
Assist in planning and coordinating inventory and accountability property management functions
Ensure that accountable property is properly identified, tagged and recorded
Provide motor vehicle management, personal property management, and real property management
Direct the Record Management Program

- A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.

- Incumbent is required to operate a government motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license, and have a safe driving record within the 3 year period immediately preceding submittal of GSA Form 3607.
- Incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain a credit card under the Government Purchase Card program.
Qualifications
This position is OPEN UNTIL FILLED and may be extended or closed prior to the current closing date. Applications will be reviewed every two weeks; the first cut-off date for applications is 10 business days from the opening date and every two weeks thereafter. Applicants with 10-point Veterans' Preference who submit a complete application after each two week cut-off date, but before the List of Eligibles is issued, will be considered and referred on the List, if qualified.
For GS-7 grade level: Applicants must have (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: making small business or government purchases; conducting physical inventories, adjusting inventory and maintaining inventory; providing customer service to meet supply demands; and processing receiving reports.
All qualification requirements must be met by the date of application.
Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the date of application.
Education
As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions in the GS-2005 series; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
