THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This ND National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2058000 and is part of the 68 TRP CMD, National Guard.
Duties
This position functions as the logistics manager of the organization and is responsible for oversight of property accountability functions.
Develops, implements and evaluates the logistics and property accountability plans and policies for the organization.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the command in the area of logistics.
Develops and coordinates the execution of the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other-directed command inspection programs.
May supervise and maintain property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property.
May coordinate with the state level headquarters and subordinate elements of the organization on the lateral transfer and/or turn in of excess property.
May establish quality control procedures and oversees the edit of all documents. Ensures documents are accurate and properly input into the automated system.
Analyzes requirements, develops forecasts, directs re-allocation, and provides guidance for the execution of funds for all decentralized logistics resources.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the ND National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the ND National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the ND National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposition is mandatory.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 security clearance.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; compensatory time may be required.
Qualifications
PCS STATEMENT: PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION.
MILITARY GRADES: Officers (O1-O3); Warrant Officers (WO1-CW3); and Enlisted members who currently hold a valid certificate of eligibility.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must havethe experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability and utilizing computer/automated systems, in the logistics field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must haveat least one year of specialized experience at the GS 09 level or civilian equivalent which includes: 1) identifying activities involving logistical support operations; 2) Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; 3) Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; and 4) Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.
