Duties

Serves as first-level supervisor over a diverse team of professionals responsible for the strategies related to targeted recruitment, outreach, social media and marketing for the DLA Career brand. Performs a full range of supervisory duties, including planning work to be accomplished; setting and adjusting short-term priorities; assigning work based on priorities, the capabilities of employees; and evaluating work performance of subordinates. Serves as an Advisor to different levels of the Agency on strategic recruitment initiatives using social media, marketing, outreach, and data analytics. Measures, analyzes, and reports on performance of the targeted recruitment program including social media activities to improve performance, increase awareness, and interest in working for DLA among audiences. Oversees current and future strategic recruitment communications across various media platforms, (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and other products or platforms ensuring that information is within regulations, and policy. Develops corporate level targeted recruitment strategies and plans for implementation. Conducts, leads, and/or participates in studies or initiative to improve Civilian recruitment programs.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Strategic Outreach Specialist position with DLA, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after- competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut- off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Developing, measuring, analyzing, and reporting on strategic social media and marketing programs and activities to improve performance. - Providing authoritative guidance, advice, evaluation, and policy interpretation to high level management officials, program managers, and HR specialists related to recruitment on social media, marketing, or outreach. - Planning and implementing strategies for a targeted recruitment or strategic outreach and recruitment program. - Analyzing, researching and identifying data to support recruitment strategies and recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
