The Office of Strategic Communication is responsible for using communication to help the agency meet its mission and business goals.Location of position: GSA, Office of Strategic Communication, 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

This position is in the Client Relations Division’s Technology Client Branch, supporting GSA’s internal and external technology modernization communications efforts. You will perform the following duties:

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)

Qualifications

For each job on your resume, provide: the exact dates you held  each job (from month/year to month/year) number of hours per week you worked (if part time).     If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume.For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-11 salary range starts at $82,764 per year.  If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  To qualify for the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is providing advice and guidance on an organization's communications to both external and internal customers; assisting in developing and implementing communication strategies; assisting in facilitating stakeholder meetings; creating and presenting briefing materials; developing various communication materials such as: publication articles, fact sheets, positionpapers, and information on websites; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or PhD or equivalent doctoral degree; ORA combination of graduate level education beyond the first 2 years of graduate study and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements for this position. The GS-12 salary range starts at $99,200 per year.  If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.   To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is providing advice and guidance on an organization's communications to both external and internal customers; developing and implementing communication strategies; facilitating stakeholder meetings; creating and presenting briefingmaterials; developing various communication materials such as: publication articles, fact sheets, position papers, and information on websites. If you are eligible under Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan or GSA’s Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP/CTAP), you must receive a score of 85 or higher to receive priority.
