About the Position: The incumbent performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies, services, and construction for the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, MICC - Fort GREGG-ADAMS.
Duties
Performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies and services in the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC).
Generates, prepares, controls and reviews recurring error reports.
Monitors various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information.
Updates and maintains the currency of procurement management documents or related information.
Supports service functions such as personnel actions, procurement of administrative supplies and equipment, clerical support, records management, mail service, time and attendance administration.
Works with situations involving the procurement process from contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Certification at foundational level. CTD required. Obtained within 24 months of date of hire.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
- Certification Level 1: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act.
- Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
- Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Specialized Experience required at the GS-07: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: 1) Working with procurement functional areas and their relationship to other functions, such as inventory management, cataloging, transportation, and supply, 2) Generating a variety of reports and recommending resolution to problems encountered, and 3) Screening incoming purchase request item descriptions for accuracy and adequacy.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
