This position is located in the District of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. The selectee of this position serves as a Program Support Specialist. You will be responsible for providing advice and assistance to management on human resources, financial, budget management, procurement, property management, records management, conducting management and program analysis studies, etc.

Duties

As a Program Support Specialist at the GS-0301- 11 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Performing a variety of increasingly complex duties dealing with assignments that are selected to further professional growth and development by providing breadth or depth of experience in applying the concepts, theories, methods and techniques appropriate to perform analytical and administrative duties. Working closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s). Developing the seasoned experience needed to provide oversight of the office's administrative services, and investigating, analyzing and resolving a variety of problems and/or conditions relative to the broad scope of services and staff activities provided. Implementing established criteria to determine the feasibility of attaining program goals and objectives and refining and/or developing specific guidelines to measure and improve the effectiveness and productivity in the administration of support programs to achieve the desired results. Qualifications

GS-11 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-9 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0301-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications: A. One year (12-months) of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade in the Federal Service performing duties which include the following: 1) providing office administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; and 3) compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy. OR B. Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.M. degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include accounting, finance, and business administration. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirements for one year of full-time graduate study.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
