You will serve as a MAIL CLERK (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the MAIL CENTER LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.

Duties

You will follow routine mailing practices and procedures. You will assist in production, scheduling, storage, and simple data analysis for future historical mail processing workloads. You will perform administrative tasks including tracking costs, distribution, collection, package tracking information, and storage of classified and unclassified mail. You will operate government vehicle on-post and over public roads as needed to transport mail.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds (single lift) and team list up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring the distribution of correspondence/material throughout the organization; 2) Utilizing office software programs such as Microsoft Excel or Access to complete daily tasks or duties; and 3) Entering and maintaining information in a database for tracking. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 4 years above high school.
