About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Supply Management Specialist for Range Control Branch. Acts as purchasing agent and inventory manager with the responsibility for and the authority to plan, organize, coordinate and advise on supply stock levels, purchasing and contracting efforts.

Duties

Coordinate supply operational activities for organization. Serve as point of contact for personnel from contract organizations. Ensure compliance with Procurement policies and regulations. Serve as the Initiating Officer for purchase actions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a US Government OF 346 License within 60 days of appointment to operate TMP vehicles.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator's license up to Class 7 within 60 days of appointment.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to complete Government Purchasing Card Program training within 6 months of appointment.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to complete Contracting Officer Representative training within 6 months of appointment.

Performing supply operations such as property accountability, requisitioning, receiving or issuing material, utilizing purchase card for acquisition of supplies or equipment. And 2.) Utilizing automated supply databases such as General Fund Business System (GFBS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) to perform duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting/ProcurementCustomer ServiceFinancial ManagementInventory Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
