Duties

Serves as Logistics Management Specialist serving under the S4 for Mobilization and Demobilization (MaD) Branch Coordinates logistics support, property and inventory management, acquisition, procurement and contracting ACOR activities Performs analysis of logistics requirements of Operations for mobilized and demobilized units. Modifies these techniques and procedures as required by approved contract changes and changes in the MaD Branch, DPTMS mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10 % of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience service which includes: conducting logistical support operations to supply, maintenance, or transportation: resolving logistical support problems and recommending alternatives to improve logistical operations Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Advanced Supply Chain Management, Business Law, and Service Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingProduct Support ManagementSupply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
