This LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position serves in the Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics (DSCLOG), G-4; of an Army National Guard (ARNG) Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) structure and is part of the CA JFHQ Logistics.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-9 is to serve as the developmental position for the ARNG Food Program Manager responsible and accountable for oversight of the entire state ARNG Food Service program which includes the administration of the Food Service Budget, Awards Program, new equipment fielding's, training, Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) and inspections. Exercises knowledge and application of Department of Army (DA), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), National Guard Bureau (NGB), and state ARNG directives, policies and procedures, subsistence handling, storage, and sanitation methodology, plus food prime vendor food service ordering system, in addition to basic subsistence accounting procedures.

General Experience: Possess experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; Experience using computer and automation systems. LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated; Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities); Experience planning and organizing work assignments.
