About the Position: This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama in the Life Cycle Support Division, Logistics Engineering Branch.
Duties
Performing studies and evaluations on factors affecting the logistic supportability of materiel developers, users and higher authorities.
Development of new PSA and LPD procedures and capabilities.
Development and maintenance of Extensible Markup Language (XML) Schema Definitions to continually enhance LPD data exchange requirements.
Provide technical assistance to software developers and users during the implementation of LPD schemas.
Assist in the development and maintenance of various foreign and domestic Government and international Non-Government PSA standards, specifications, policy, guidance, and procedures
Participates in and provides Army representation to the SAE Life Cycle Logistics Supportability Committee (LCLS) and other related DoD, industry and international standardization development organizations.
Requirements
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station (TDY) 25% of the time.
- Incumbent must possess, obtain and maintain Advance Level III Acquisition Certification in Life Cycle Logistics within 4 years of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1). Experience supporting the development, maintenance, and training of Army Logistics standards in the areas of Product Support Analysis (PSA), Logistics Product Data (LPD), in compliance with related Army Material Command (AMC), Army, DoD, industry, and international Standardization program and requirements documents. (2). Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the domains of Integrated Product Support (IPS), LPD, Total Life Cycle Systems Management (TLCSM), and Defense System Acquisition. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
