About the Position: This position is with the 76th USAR Operational Response Command, G6, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Duties
Develops policies, programs, and systems pertaining to IT functions in support of the overall Command.
Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the information management (IM)/IT strategic plan for the Command.
Develops, maintains, and enforces the Command Network security policy and procedures.
Responsible for managing and maintaining all networks, including the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), and local and wide area networks.
Exercise supervision over the daily activities of a full time staff, which includes military/civilians.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the required certification/recertification for this position within six months of employment as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing policies, programs and systems pertaining to IT functions, managing functional areas such as customer support, information management, telecommunications, security and cyber security. Reviews the work of military and civilian personnel. Develops detailed budget projections for higher headquarters. Coordinates short and long range IT plans for military training and deployments. Monitors complex networks such as Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET); and communication security (COMSEC). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-12.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
