You will serve as an Oil Reclamation Equipment Operator in the Fuel Department ofNAVSUP FLC SD GF.

Duties

You will perform safe and efficient operation of a Fuel Oil Reclaim Facility in the receipt, storage, processing, and assisting in the disposal of off-specification petroleum products and on specification products reclaimed through processing system. You will plan, direct, and evaluate plant operation and maintenance functions. You will prepare chemical treatment solutions and establish feed rates based on laboratory data, instruments, and gauge readings. You will inspect tank valves, pressure reliefs, pipelines, pumps, and chemical mixing chambers to insure proper operations. You will receive fuel from barges, ships, trucks, and tankers into tanks by opening and closing valves to expedite the offloading of contaminated petroleum products and waste oils.

An example of the screen out element is: I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including plan, direct, and evaluate fuel oil reclaim plant operation and maintenance functions, receive fuel from barges, ships, trucks, and tankers into tanks by operating valves to expedite offloading contaminated petroleum products, prepare chemical treatment solutions and establish feed rates based on lab data, instruments, and gauges, take temperature and water cuts on marks on tanks by using calibration tables and temperature correction factors to compute quantity in each tank, inspect tank valves, pressure reliefs, pipelines, pumps, and chemical mixing chambers to insure proper operation. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
