The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, Capitol Building, Assistant Superintendent, Tenant Services and Facilities Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, Painting Section, Night Painting Unit .As a Painter-Refinisher you are responsible for the general painting and refinishing of doors, door frames, and other wood work as well Painter-Decorator work involving historic colors, complex striping, designs, and panel refinishing.
Duties
TOUR OF DUTY: Monday thru Friday | 9:00PM to 5:30AM

Ability to do Painter-Refinisher work without more than normal supervision including:
Applying materials so that surfaces meet texture, thickness and level requirements;
Reading and applying directions that relate to the mixture, use and application of pre-coating agents, resins, compounds, and coating material;
Using painting tools and equipment (e.g., brushes, rollers, spray guns, trowels, screeds, straight edges, viscosity testers, graining devices and wet and other thickness gauges); and
Using a computer to update work-order control system and complete time and attendance.
