You will serve as the CHIEF of STAFF in the Flag/SES Front Office of the Program Executive Office for Aircraft Carriers (PEO Carriers) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE CARRIERS.

Duties

You will serve as an Assistant to the Program Executive Officer (PEO) Reporting directly to the Flag Officers and Senior Executives of PEO Carriers. You will serve as the principal trusted adviser to the senior leadership in all areas of the organization including the development, direction, and continuity of policies, programs, and operations. You will formulate, coordinate, review, and evaluate the effectiveness of organization operating policies, regulations, and procedures. You will maintain continuous awareness of overall organization activities and advises senior leadership on matters of concern, items deserving special recognition, or issues which may create external inquiries. You will Identify and prioritize actions requiring final decision-making authority of the senior leadership. You will liaise with organization internal leadership on programmatic and administrative issues to ensure internal and external stakeholder guidance, direction, and assignments are effectively executed. You will provide review and follow-up of organization-directed assignments and assure that the organizational goals, objectives, and deadlines are met. You will develop long range plans consistent with the strategic vision of the organization. You will ensure resources required by the organization are managed within the framework of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES). You will provide detailed analysis of the overall organizations acquisition portfolio and identify alignment opportunities across the organization.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "providing programmatic and technical leadership over ship acquisition, development, design, or maintenance to support the life cycle and modernization of fleet shipbuilding plans."
