This FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST is located in the Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Comptroller Flight and is part of the CA 163 ATKW.

Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-9, is to plan, coordinate, and perform Financial Management analysis, support and review, of base level accounting and financial management programs.

Qualifications

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-8 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Having the knowledge and understanding of pay operations, such as Military Pay, Civilian Pay, Accounts Payable, and Travel Pay; Skilled in providing pay services that include the examination, analysis, presentation, and interpretation of pay entitlements to Soldiers, Civilians, and Vendors; Experienced and competent to review and analyze pay accounts and knowledgeable of tax issues involving legislative rulings; or pay allowances and entitlements, or incentive and bonus pay circumstances. Experience in Civilian Pay utilizing the Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS) and the Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS) preferred. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in one of -or- be a combination of the following disciplines: Accounting, business, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required.
