Duties
You will evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with disorders and function as an authoritative source of information regarding the use and interpretation of psychological and intellectual tests.
You will be responsible for providing training in diagnosis and treatment to Medical Officers and Independent Duty Corpsman.
You will exercise full professional responsibility for their findings, interpretations, decisions, recommendations and reports.
You will utilize diverse and complex therapeutic techniques, or combinations of techniques, based on the specific needs of the patient.
You will generate and maintain a variety of clinical records and reports in keeping with pre-established criteria and reviewing clinical records for quality assurance purposes, providing quality assessment data as requested.
You will attend staff meetings, conferences and training as assigned by a higher authority and may assume leadership responsibilities at these activities.
You will prepare briefings and articulately deliver them to high level uniformed and civilian officials.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional clinical psychologist diagnosing mental disorders, conducting psychological or neuropsychological assessments AND treating mental disorders through a variety of methods (e.g. psychotherapy) to include designing and implementing treatment plans OR providing interventions for treatment of medical disorders.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Applicants must have successfully completed all the requirements for a doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or equivalent) accredited by the American Psychology Association (APA), directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
AND
Applicants must possess a current, valid, unrestricted license to practice independently in psychology.
