This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. You will serve as a Branch Head for the production branch in the Undersea Weapons Department of (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV DETACHMENT PACIFIC PEARL HARBOR HI) at Ewa Beach, HI.

Duties

You will oversee the torpedo production processes, weekly, monthly, annual build plans and associated schedules. You will plan, schedule the weekly/monthly/annual torpedo workload, and coordinate with outside activities to ensure the required resources are on hand. You will manage the civilian employees and provide schedule guidance to the approximate 80 contractor employees that provide technician support to the Production Branch. You will also supervise/manage the On-Site Representative at the Torpedo Exercise Site in Guam.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS 11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing, planning, and management of torpedo related production in support of of Heavyweight Torpedo (HWT) Enterprise goals.
