You will serve as a PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN in the WEAPONS SYSTEM ENGINEERING DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will assist senior specialists in the preparation of contract awards and orders and executes contract actions and related work products required for the acquisition of goods and services. You will negotiate small non-complex contracts. You will support senior specialists in the contract close out process. You will enter and authenticate data in various required automated data systems such as FPDS-NG and the NAVAIR Obligation Database.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-4/5) or pay band (DG-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:1) Reviewing processed transactions to ensure data is correct and accurate; 2) Maintaining logs and records in accordance with policies and procedures; 3) Entering basic data into automated systems to process transactions.
