You will serve as an Aircraft Production Manager in the MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will provide the resources required to accomplish work operations. You will make recommendations to the Director and IPT Leader You will plan the allocation of resources. You will develop plans for production process improvements. You will monitor quality defects to ensure consistency.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Providing and training the resources required to accomplish the proposed work in relation to the resources committed to scheduled work operations; 2) Making recommendations to the Director and IPT Leader concerning additional personnel, overtime, and other resource requirements; 3) Plan the allocation of resources and the distribution of work to subordinates; 4) Developing plans for production process improvements involved in the repair or manufacturing of aircraft, engine, and components; 5) Monitoring quality defects and minimize the impact to cost by implementing corrective action; 6) Exercising technical and administrative supervision to ensure standardized and consistent application of procedures and policies.
