Duties
Summary: The primary purpose of this position is the primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Lead Technician concerned with overlooking assignments designed to support technical training.
Duties:
Analyzes student training management data.
Build relationships and understand procedures.
Provides quality control oversight to the student elimination process, student training reports, training status change actions, interface rejects and training record validations.
Generates and analyzes student accounting data trends.

- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS : Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-08, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources to determine quality, accuracy, and applicability; Knowledge of the rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of training and education programs to perform specialized assignments in the faculty development administrative function; Knowledge of faculty development administrative duties; scheduling, maintaining faculty training records, and compiling reports; Knowledge of and ability to use established computer programs, various office automation software programs (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.), tools, and techniques to support office operations, create, maintain, retrieve and input data, sort, and maintain accurate files and/or program data; operate communication technologies such as telephones and video teleconference devices/ programs; a qualified typist is not required. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR CURRENT GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of all AETC-approved student management systems utilized by 17 TRW Registrar and Microsoft Office data analysis products.
2. Knowledge of student flow and related processes.
3. Knowledge of registrar program rules, procedures, and regulations.
4. Ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
6. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
