About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Readiness Division (DIV(R)), Program and Services Division, Human Resources Office (HRO) located at Moffett Field, California.
Duties
Manage the staff written responses for leadership's signature, to include responses to congressional and special interest groups' correspondence.
Direct and evaluate work of subordinate branches.
Supervise and manage a diverse team of Civilians, Service Members (AGRs and TPU) and Contractors.
Provide military human resources services to active, reserve, retiree and family member customers.
Provide technical guidance on processing of military human resources personnel actions.
Review and approve orders (promotion, reassignment, awards, etc) and other administrative correspondence, signing for the Director of Human Resources.
Provide supervisory and regulatory guidance to the Readiness Division regional customers.
Requirements
- This position required you to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing or directing military personnel programs; providing guidance or training to others on the processing of military personnel actions; recommending solutions to Active and Reserve military personnel problems; and supervising subordinate staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute education for expereince in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification reuqirement using expereince alone - no substitution of education is permitted.
