You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Training Systems Procurement Department of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
***This position has a control point of GS-14 Step 10. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $122,198 - $158,860***
Duties
You will supervise and lead contracting professionals and other Department personnel.
You will support the Department, NAVAIR Procurement Group, and the NAWCTSD Command.
You will oversee control negotiations and coordination with program offices, technical departments, legal counsel, and audit and field representatives.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Supervising and leading contracting professionals and other Department personnel ranging from entry-level-employees to unlimited warrant contracting officers in the full spectrum of acquisition and associated functions and tasks - (e.g., government purchase card, micro-purchase, simplified acquisition, commercial procedures, negotiated, non-FAR based); 2) Supporting multiple customers, in various industries, in execution of assigned contracting; 3) Planning, preparing and executing contract actions including price and cost analysis, negotiation of contract price and terms and conditions, and contract awards.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
NOTE: The education requirement listed above applies only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
