THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEMS/MILITARY) TITLE 5, Position Description Number T5858000 and is part of the IL 182 AW, National Guard.

Duties

AS a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEMS/MILITARY) TITLE 5, GS-0201-7/9/11, you will plan, organize, administer, and troubleshoot the operation and data base integrity of the Military Personnel Data System in support of military human resources management functions. Serve as the primary point of contact to ensure the effective operation of satellite human resources interface with United States Air Force (USAF) servers and related human resources computers both hardware and software. Provide technical guidance regarding the overall scope of the MILPDS and interfacing systems to identify and solve personnel system related problems, which could inhibit or prevent a high state of readiness. Manage, direct, and control the operation of PDS to include the Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS), Virtual Personnel Center (vPC), Personnel Records Display Application (PRDA) Enterprise Output Manager (EOM) and others, and related systems interfaces. Perform account maintenance actions to include adding additional PAS codes to a profile, extending a current level access, or by deleting access altogether. Analyze data and subsequent determinations regarding any number of personnel matters which may involve or affect Title 32 Technicians, Title 5 Employees, AGRs, Traditional Guardsmen, and/or their family members. Confer with and advise commanders, first sergeants, and FSS work centers on problems involving personnel systems. Conduct periodic briefings to staff agencies, commanders, and administrative personnel, to promote a full understanding of all aspects of the personnel systems management function. Provide PDS customers with technical assistance/training to current users of applicable systems. Provide FSS Personnel, individuals within the Command Support Staff and other agencies who have access to PDS data with interpretations and data applications. Prepare and provide formal and informal training to PDS users. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level - MUST possess the specialized experience for the GS-11 Level, which includes at least 1-year at the lower-level GS-09, including additional experience such as: respond to inquiries from all MAJCOM managers, base-level personnel system managers, and Defense Finance and Accounting System (DFAS) personnel; provide management advisory services to users on the technical aspects of PDS applications, the capabilities available within the systems to assist them in day-to-day operations and their impact on personnel programs; develop and implement quality procedures used to suspense and assist FSS work centers in correcting Transaction Registers (TR) and other-directed data assessment programs. GS-09 Level - MUST possess the specialized experience for the GS-09 Level, which includes at least 1-year at the lower-level GS-07, including additional experience such as: analyze and resolve operational problems and ensures compliance with military human resources policies, regulations, objectives, and management procedures; responds to inquiries from all base-level personnel system managers; provide advisory services to users on the technical aspects of PDS applications, the capabilities available within the systems to assist them in day-to-day operations and their impact on personnel programs; analyze and compare data between the military personnel data system and interfacing systems. GS-07 Level - MUST possess the specialized experience for the GS-07 Level including factors that encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD or U.S. Air Force; experience that equips you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Education
