This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (CG-DCMS), Assistant Commandant for Engineering and Logistics (CG-4), Office of Civil Engineering (CG-43), Resource Management Division (CG-438) located in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
You will serve as a Finanical Management Specialist and be responsible for providing management of all shore construction funds provided under the Procurement, Construction and Improvement (PC&I) appropriation and Coastal and Shore (CSO) budgets.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Resume must demonstrate that you meet 6 out of the 7 specialized experience
Specialized experience must include the following:
(1) Applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of financial program effectiveness.
(2) Apply a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to administration of acquisition programs.
(3) Directing the analytical and evaluative work for critical agency functions related to the development and presentation of budget plans and programs. (4) Developing, coordinating, and maintaining an integrated system of financial management activities and operations including budgeting, executing, financial cost analysis.
(5) Coordinating the preparation of obligation and expenditure schedules, special studies, and reports.
(6) Guiding program implementation and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
(7) Approves financial transfers, accessing various information systems to track program execution, payments, and outstanding balances.
