This AIR CARGO SPECIALIST position, is located in the Small Air Terminal Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wing and is part of the CA 129 RQW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the AIR CARGO SPECIALIST, WG-5201-10, is to perform a full variety of Air Transportation functions necessary to manage the day-to-day Air Transportation and small air terminal operations including but not limited to, airdrop and airdrop inspections, rigging responsibilities, wing deployment training, passenger and cargo manifesting, Joint Inspection, load planning, determining cargo/passenger eligibility, establishing and maintaining air terminal security, directly responsible for safe and efficient loading/offloading of all DOD-owned and controlled aircraft and ensuring In-transit Visibility (ITV).

General Experience: Possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and practices associated with the type of work to be done. AIR CARGO SPECIALIST, WG-5201-10: Must have at least 18 months of specialized experience or training performing a full variety of Air Transportation functions necessary to manage the day-to-day Air Transportation and small air terminal operations including but not limited to, airdrop and airdrop inspections, rigging responsibilities, wing deployment training, passenger and cargo manifesting, Joint Inspection, load planning, determining cargo/passenger eligibility, establishing and maintaining air terminal security, directly responsible for safe and efficient loading/offloading of all DOD-owned and controlled aircraft and ensuring ITV.
