About the Position: This position is with the Office of the Chief of Army Reserve, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Personnel Staff Management Office located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Duties
Exercise responsibility for visits to Office of the Chief of Army Reserve (OCAR) from Senior Leaders of the Services, Elected Officials, and Army Reserve Stakeholders.
Serve as the agency representational funds custodian for official representation funds.
Maintain accountability for all protocol supplies and equipment.
Serve as the Protocol Officer for the Office of the Chief Army Reserve (OCAR).
Develop invitations, guest lists, seating arrangements, place cards, programs, menu recommendations, and determines correct flag placement for official events.
Plan, coordinate and execute an array of official and social events hosted by the Senior Army Reserve Leadership.
Provide Guidance to the Chief Army Reserve and OCAR staff on technical protocol requirements and policies.
Liase with DoD and DA Protocol to synchronize protocol procedures and remain current with protocol guidance.
Write and edit formal programs for various workshops, conferences and social events.

Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes planning and executing major ceremonies for General Officers; implementing Command Protocol policies; briefing senior leaders; and greeting high ranking dignitaries and presenting visitors at receptions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
