About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 66 military processing locations Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services.
Position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Duties
As a Management Analyst, you will:
Assist with the analysis of medical trends and issues that warrant development and implementation of training programs for USMEPCOM personnel.
Daily operational responsibilities include understanding governing orders and procedures and providing clarifying guidance and policy to the Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS).
Work closely with joint service military and civilians to conduct daily work.
Develop and delivers medical briefings in support of USMEPCOM policy.
Coordinate with Medical Directorate, MEPS Chief Medical Officers (CMO) and MEPS Medical NCOIC/Supervisory Medical Technician on programs and projects.
Ensure adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements

- Position occasionally requires you to be on call.

**Telework eligible position - Position has an official duty location of North Chicago, IL and is eligible for Situational Telework at the discretion of the Command. This position is NOT eligible for remote work (remote duty location). If telework is approved, selectees will be required to report to their official duty location as outlined in their telework agreement.**

GS 09:
Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Performing clerical duties (i.e., Preparing reports, correspondence, charts, graphs, briefings. etc., Overseeing an automated suspense tracker file, etc.); for a medical organization; Reviewing, policies, procedures and/or regulations for a medical organization to identify areas for improvement; AND Reviewing applicant case management files to answer applicant questions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration/Management, Healthcare Administration/Management, or Public Health. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS 11:
Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Analyzing internal policies, procedures, and/or regulations for a medical organization to identify areas where new guidance is needed; Assisting in developing training for medical staff and/or personnel; AND Assisting with resolving applicant case management problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration/Management, Healthcare Administration/Management, or Public Health. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
