You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (CRANE) in the NAVAL ORDNANCE TEST UNIT/Support Services and Planning Division/Facilities Branch of NAV ORD TEST UNIT.
Duties
You will ensure crane certification, maintenance and operations are performed in a safe, timely manner.
You will manage the crane budget to ensure proper use of funds and support all crane audits, providing all necessary documentation
You will establish priorities and determine methods of accomplishing projects based upon program requirements, funding limitations, labor relations and other considerations.
You will participate in the establishment and implementation of a preventative maintenance program to maintain and control the quality of CRANES for all Navy-assigned buildings at NOTU.
You will make field trips to attend technical meetings in connection with crane and facility requirements, development and design.
You will assume responsibility for Fleet Ballistic Missile and Strategic Weapons System coordination drawings to ensure understanding and compliance with the established policies and procedures involving the CRANES under NOTU's responsibility.
You will review and coordinate all proposed notices of change with responsible parties so that Strategic Systems Program may achieve and control compatibility among Fleet Ballistic Missile and SWS subsystems throughout the life of the system.
You will complete the necessary competencies to become the NOTU Crane Certifying Official.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing, advising, and/or providing guidance on the full range of Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) related to cranes and its associated support equipment and identifying risks, trends, unsafe conditions, addressing hazards to employees, and/or specifying control measures in conformance with applicable standards.
