About the Position: This position will serve as an Executive Assistant with the Office of the Chief of Staff, Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The incumbent will provide advice and recommendations to the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff on matters relative to the coordination, integration and synchronization of events and activities personally affecting and involving the Office of the Chief of Staff and FCOE Command Group.
Duties
Develop strategies for internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects and activities requiring involvement of the FCOE Command Group.
Manage the operational schedule of the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Submit the results of conferences and tasks/due outs to G3 for inclusion in SharePoint.
Assist in the budget formulation and execution for the Office of the Chief of Staff. Performs duties as Defense Travel System Approving/Certifying Official. Makes travel arrangements.
Serve as liaison with the civilian personnel office
Receives, screens and answers telephonic and personal visitors/guests.
Uses database or spreadsheet software to record, revise, correct, merge, print, and program material. Reviews repetitively typed material and, as appropriate, develops document formats.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) is approximately 10%.
- Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentive may be authorized.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: Provide executive level administrative and secretarial services which include exercising control over short and long range calendars; Coordinate meetings and briefings for senior level officials; Maintain a suspense record of all official and social invitations; Prepare official, semi-official and personal communications from brief oral instructions; Take scheduling notes and transcribe information for reference and follow-up; Prepare travel itineraries, make travel arrangements and prepare travel vouchers; and Maintain personnel and official files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
