You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, COMPTROLLER DIVISION; PROPERTY SECTION of SWFLANT KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will serve as the Transportation Program Manager for all SWFLANT managed GSA vehicles and special purpose equipment vehicles at the command. You will provide logistical support for leasing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting of all vehicles and as liaison between contractors and the government personnel. You will plan, execute, and account for command Material Handling Equipment to include maintaining a line-item detail of equipment and providing quarterly reports to NAVSUP and property manager on detailed listing of equipment. You will provide backup support to the Industrial Property Management Specialist to fill in and support with operations and provide support when that person is on leave, not available, or assisting in other requirements as required. You will have oversight of the entire Property Program at the SWFs to include DOD, Navy, specifically SSP. You will plan, schedule, and oversee cyclic annual inventories, random sampling audits, and comprehensive triennial inventory as required by SECNAVINST and IAW with local procedures for all property in possession of the Government.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising Government and contractor personnel on policies, procedures, and practices relating to Government contracts and resolving conflicts related to contractor property management.
