This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Southern Region. This position serves as a Supervisory Credit Union Examiner.
Duties
RELOCATION STATEMENT: Relocation expenses may be authorized for current promotion eligible NCUA employees relocating to Atlanta, GA in accordance with agency policy.
As a Supervisory Credit Union Examiner, you will:
Supervise the activities of a group of geographically dispersed credit union examiners.
Interpret and apply credit union laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific issues.
Review examination reports prepared by assigned staff for technical problem areas.
Identify employee training needs and development and ensure that resources are made available for development and training needs.
Conduct program evaluations to ensure consistent application of policy guidance, practices, procedures, and examination priorities.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To qualify at the CU-14 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include activities such as 1) conducting financial institution examinations by applying appropriate laws, regulations, and standards; 2) reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examination procedures; and 3) managing conflicting priorities with established deadlines.
To qualify at the CU-15 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include 1) one of the following activities:
reviewing the quality of financial institution examinations; or
examining complex or troubled financial institutions; or
writing supervisory guidance for financial institution related issues at the national level;
as well as 2) reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examining procedures; and 3) ensuring that organizational work products are completed within established deadlines.
