The duty station of these positions will be assigned at the time of a job offer and pay will be set in accordance with the duty station. Any on-site requirements will be determined by the duty station assigned upon selection.
Duties
Evaluates internal policies, procedures, controls, and work outputs to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) payment policies and directives.
Monitors and evaluates financial systems support to ensure compliance, internal controls, and optimal operating procedures.
Designs modifications to operations ensuring compatibility with systems requirements and DoD policies.
Researches and resolves operational and procedural problems encountered during daily operations including analysis of interactive systems.
Problems encountered include local operational problems, user technical problems, and data flow errors between the local system and other systems throughout the financial community.
Participates in development of system change requests for the organization as required.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-9 when applying to the GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
GS-11: Specialized experience is defined as: experience providing expert knowledge of financial standards and principles to effectively analyze financial operations by applying applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures to resolve issues relating to financial management operations.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service.
Education
GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
