The ideal candidate for this position will have experience managing and reporting on a fleet management operation. The incumbent will also have experience with multiple logistics related functions (i.e. ordering, shipping and receiving, mail operations, material handling, and performing as a contracting officer representative).

Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Supporting the management of a vehicle fleet program and appropriate controls to ensure effective fleet management, Assisting with logistical and administrative support pertaining to vehicle inspections, general maintenance, emergency maintenance, and reporting. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR A combination of specialized experience, as described in the vacancy announcement, and related graduate level education, beyond the first full year of graduate level study, that when combined, meet the qualification requirements for this position. To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Managing a vehicle fleet program and implementing appropriate controls to ensure effective fleet management, Providing logistical and administrative support pertaining to vehicle inspections, general maintenance, emergency maintenance, and reporting, Supporting logistics operations such as shipping and receiving, material handling, and ordering supplies. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR A combination of specialized experience, as described in the vacancy announcement, and related graduate level education, beyond the first two years of graduate level study, that when combined, meet the qualification requirements for this position.
