The incumbent serves as the Engineering Technician (Drafting) for the Implementation Support Center.

Duties

FV-F Duties: Assists in the preparation of predesigning engineering drawings using established Computer Aided Drafting software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation. Makes changes to marked up (red line) drawings. Coordinates with a manager, team leader, or more experienced professional to plan time and use assigned resources to accomplish tasks. Reviews engineering drawings for proper layout and prepares the drawings in the final format in accordance with drafting standards and principles.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • A recent SF-50 is required (See Required Documents for requirements)

Qualifications

To qualify at the FV-F level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level (FV-E/FG/GS-7/8) in the normal line of progression. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.Specialized experience: Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and other Computer-Aided Engineering Graphics (CAEG) equipment and applications. Experience in the preparation of predesigning engineering drawings, making changes to marked up (red-line) drawings using CAEG software, etc.To qualify at the FV-G level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level FV-F (FG/GS-5-9).
