About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 501ST MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BRIGADE 532ND MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BATTALION, GEOINT
SECTION, FORT EISENHOWER, GA.
Duties
Serves as a theater Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) analyst for the National to Theater (NTT) program Regional Integrated GEOINT Section, 532nd Military Intelligence (Ml) Battalion (BN), 501st MI Brigade (BDE).
Performs processing, analysis, and reporting, utilizing specialized software and techniques in support of the 501st MI BDE Theater Analytical Control Element.
Researches and provides information as necessary for the planning, coordinating, and implementation of collection, production, dissemination, and technical policy and procedures for 501st MI BDE GEOINT operations.
Assist in the management of production requirements by determining the availability of collection data to satisfy requirements in support of the GEOINT mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 25% or less of the time.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Employee is required to undergo a pre-appointment and annual physical.
- Employee is required to sign a mandatory mobility agreement.
- This position is subject to rotational requirements in accordance with the INSCOM Rotation Assignment and Placement Program.
- Employee may be subject to shift work in performance of mission operations as determined by management.

Specialized experience is defined as experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) analysis, production and collection.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
