About the Position: This position is located at Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, MD. Incumbent will provide administrative support and management to the Facilities Operations and Management Department of the Clinic.
Duties
Provide direct administrative support to department leadership.
Prepare a variety of documents including Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity for projects.
Review outgoing correspondence for proper format, grammar, typographical accuracy, proper coordination, and attachments.
Develop office operating procedures, memos, directives, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to office administration.
Pick up incoming mail and deliver outgoing mail from/to the mail and distribution center.
Process material, equipment, construction, and service requests.
Train new personnel on correspondence procedures and office policies.
Review documents prior to submission for accuracy and adequacy, and ensure project documents meet financial and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes compiling data to be used for reports; reviewing correspondence for proper grammar and format; and assisting leadership and new personnel with administrative office procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
