This position is located in the Dietary Services Department at the Ft. Yates Indian Health Service Hospital in Ft. Yates, ND. The position is responsible for performing cook duties working alone or with a higher graded cook.

Duties

Prepares foods according to diet orders, menus and standardized recipes for inpatients, residential Drug Dependency Unit clients, hospital personnel and quest meals. Monitors the preparation, and evaluates the condition of the food being prepared at frequent intervals to ensure optimum flavor, quality, and appearance. Prepares food for cooking such as washing, peeling, chopping, and grinding for cookina. Roasts bakes, fries, boils, and stews meats, fish, and poultry. Observes high personal hygiene standards and all required safe food handling practices. Performs assigned cleaning duties as scheduled. Maintains food storaoes areas for cleanliness and proper storage and fool labelino.
