This position is located in FEMA's Regional Offices, Region 7, Mitigation Division. The ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge, skills, and experience sufficient to perform work requiring general knowledge of Federal, state, and local grants administration requirements, the ability to express complex, controversial, and technical ideas and concepts concisely, orally and in writing, and the ability to analyze data and develop reports for internal and external communication.

To qualify for this position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Measuring and evaluating programs commensurate to the federal, state, or local level to determine compliance with rules and regulations. OR A Master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B. or J.D.), or at least two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field. OR Combination of education and experience To qualify for this position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Developing, reviewing or approving grant applications commensurate to the federal, state, or local level in accordance with grants management rules, policies, practices and techniques. OR a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or at least three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a related field, OR Combination of education and experience. To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Performing grants management activities commensurate to the federal, state, or local level including administering, monitoring, and closing out grants.
