About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive physical security surveys, inspections, analysis and evaluations
Prepare comprehensive written reports on survey and inspection findings and recommendations.
Conduct physical security inspections and evaluates security engineering of construction proposals.
Review and prioritize requirements, and programs funds for force protection (VTER) and ensures coordination with higher headquarters for the proper allocation and justification of these requirements
Requirements
- TDY travel may occasionally be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Incumbent must complete the U.S. Army Physical Security course as required by AR 190-13, within 12 months after entrance on duty.
- Incumbent must complete the Contracting Officer Representative course within 12 months after entrance on duty.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Incumbent must be able to work irregular hours when required.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting physical security and crime prevention surveys, inspections, and risk analysis of Mission Essential and Vulnerable Areas (MEVAs), High Risk Targets (HRT) and command-designated facilities, providing support to an installation security program. 1. Development and implementation and operation of an Integrated Force Protection Program. 2. Interpret and/or develop general policy for application at the installation or District level for a multiplicity of threats (i.e., terrorism, military, electronic, intelligence, and criminal, etc.). 3. Develop and implement crisis management planning and execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
