This position is located in Death Valley National Park in the Maintenance Division. A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay. Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: Compliance testing and monitoring of the 4 public water systems, 4 nonpublic water systems, 2 non-potable water systems, 2 wastewater systems and several septic systems. Daily supervision of a crew of up to 6 Utility System Repair Operators. Asset management and condition assessments. Assist with the planning of projects for improvements of utilities systems and planning short- and long-term budget needs. Emergency repairs to critical utility systems. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT) Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Operation of Water Treatment Systems Technical Practices Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
