You will serve as the Chief Strategist for the Command as a function of Command Operations Department of Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Orlando FL.

Duties

You will be responsible for Command strategy integration across all Departments. You will be responsible for the development, integration, deployment, and execution of strategic objectives, measures, and targets. You will align Technical and Business Departments to Strategic Intent. You will also serve as the Division Head for the Command's Program Analysis Improvement and Communications Division. You will manage the execution (through supervisory personnel) of the Command's Public Affairs activities as well as all continuous improvement initiatives.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes all or some of the following: 1) Experience pertaining to training, modeling, and simulation mission and industry within and beyond DoD; 2) Experience related to systems of systems constructs or enterprise/strategic architectures; 3) Experience related to DoD and DON military command structure, missions, programs, organizational relationships, policies, procedures, concepts, and information and logistics systems; 4) Demonstrated experience related to DoD acquisition opportunities and constraints; 5) Utilizing project management principles and managing master schedules for integrated projects or initiatives; 6) Utilizing strategic communication principles.
