About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 63rd Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site 2 Storage Branch located in San Antonio, Texas. Duties

Operate a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment such as generators, wheeled/track vehicles and semi-trailer combinations. Operate various types of forklifts and equipment to complete loading, unloading, warehousing, and preparing equipment and supplies for transport. Transport equipment that may be oversized or overweight. Ensure load weights are properly distributed and secured. Take oil samples and prepare them for shipment. Service vehicle braking systems and lights. Perform preventative maintenance checks and services. Receive incoming warehouse items and equipment and check them for damage and serviceability. Issues and stores equipment in the warehouse. Prepares various accountability documents and warehouse reports.

Requirements

• THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
• This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
• This position requires a Class A CDL within 180 days of employment.
• This position requires a medical examination prior to employment.

May be exposed to fumes, fluids, dirt, battery acids, etc., resulting in bruises, cuts, burns, and skin irritation. Wearing of hearing protection and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.
