Duties

Responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive evaluations for prevention programs aimed at reducing Interpersonal and Self-Directed Violence (ISDV) and enhancing psychological wellbeing and resilience. Coordinates comprehensive primary prevention activities addressing various harmful behaviors, ensuring that these activities are integrated through coalitions and partnerships. Supports qualitative research initiatives, builds reports, visualizations, presentations, and other materials to identify key trends. cont. below Drive employee engagement, and ensure the execution of engagement surveys. Responsible for building and maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, program offices, working groups, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Promotes cross-organizational collaboration, assigns tasks based on organizational priorities, and acquires communication and feedback systems to integrate cross-functional, programmatic, and organizational information. Conducts high-level analyses of complex organizational issues, advising on the strategic use of human capital in achieving organizational goals.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Social Science Analyst (Integrated Prevention Program), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Basic Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. Applicants MUST submit a copy of their official college transcripts from an accredited educational institution, which reflects that a behavioral or social science or equivalent degree was conferred and the date conferred. FAILURE TO SUBMIT YOUR TRANSCRIPTS MAY RESULT IN LOST CONSIDERATION. OR Combination of education and experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND B. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:: Researching and applying behavioral health interventions and public health strategies for Interpersonal and Self-Directed Violence (ISDV) and resilience. Develops IPP plans in coordination with various offices such as Family Programs, Resilience, SARC, Psychological Health, and EO/EEO. Conducts ethnographic studies, structured interviews, and focus groups to understand the experiences and needs of diverse community members Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
