You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (WHE-MHE-OHE - LHE) in the Public Works Department (PWD), Transporation Branch of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

Duties

You will implement performance assessment programs that ensures the Base Operations Support Coordinator meets all WHE, MHE and OHE program requirements. You will validate BOS contractor shop repair order inspection reports to be in compliance with NCC, NAVSUP, and NAVSEA maintenance guidance and publications. You will review technical data and deliverables for assigned location/function. You will provide policy guidance for all preparation or detailed cost estimates, equipment specifications and locally generated control documents. You will develop a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) in response to all deficiencies found upon. completion of annual NCC evaluation audit.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing recommendations and risk assessments of all government and contractor operated equipment, conduct performance assessment for Base Operations Support Contracts (BOSC) and review and make recommendations involving testing and safety of crane and rigging procedure compliances.
